Music is the food of love

We think music makes wedding, and it makes them truly memorable for everyone involved. So just make sure it's music that you want everyone to associate with you and your beloved. And then after the big day, think of a soundtrack for your honeymoon to add to the memories. Here's some suggestions from us.

Arriving

The gift of music - World of Wedding Music

Maybe a favourite hymn will work well for both of you? Maybe not something like Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam, but something like Love Divine All Loves Excelling has beautiful words and is about the right pace.

The Gift of Music - Classic FM for Weddings

Want to go with something traditional? This contains plenty of choices, and we would find it a hard choice between the Prince of Denmark March and Charpentier’s Prelude to a Te Deum.

The Gift of Music - Josh Groban

Maybe you need something a little less traditional but still amazing? We think Josh Groban should do it, the words to “You Lift Me Up” are perfect, and the tempo works really well for that trip down the aisle.

The Gift Of Music - Blue Hawaii

And if only the King will do, then we think only the Hawaiian Wedding Song will do. Whether you’re doing it in Vegas, Hawaii or Bognor, it’ll summon up some romance and tropical grandeur.

The Gift of Music - Emma Kirkby

For something traditional, but totally divine, try Mozart's Exsultate, Jubilate, to hit just the right note.

The Gift of Music - Michael Buble

Want something a little less classical, but no less gorgeous? We think "The Best is Yet to Come" is a perfect sentiment, and no better person to sing it than the divine Michael Buble.

The Gift of Music - Gospel Greats

If you can find one, book a gospel choir to belt out "Oh Happy Day" to sum up all the joy of the occasion. Failing that, the London Community Gospel Choir do it brilliantly.

The Gift of Music - West Side Story

Romance across the divide? Or just divine music? We cry every time at "One Hand, One Heart" from West Side Story. Absolutely perfect for this point in any ceremony.

Unique gifts for unique weddings -Vivaldi Gloria

You did it! Sum up the joy with Vivaldi's Gloria in Excelsis Deo. Only discovered in 2001, its an amazing piece if you can get a great choir to sing it, or else we love this recording with the English Baroque Soloists.

Unique music for unique weddings - Beatles In My Life

Only got a short walk? Well, make every second count with something beautiful and meaningful, and we don't think they come better than "In My Life" by the Beatles. Perfection every step of the way.

Unique Music for Unique Weddings - Come What May

Want something dramatic? We're going to pick "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge. This is beautiful as long as you just take the words of the song, rather than the boy meets girl, girl gets consumption, girl dies, storyline.

Unique Music for Unique Weddings - Don't Stop Me Now!

Rock down the aisle in double quick time to a little something from Queen. Now you could go for "You're My Best Friend", but get all your guests up on their feet to "Don't Stop Me Now". That'll give them something to talk about!
